Hire Feed is seeking a Data Engineer in Italy to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines supporting real-time and batch processing for analytics across the organization.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, optimize data models, and ensure data quality and governance across warehouses and data lakes. This role offers impact on enterprise-wide data infrastructure and security practices.

We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Data Engineer to work on a full-time basis. The role involves designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines that support real-time and batch processing systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity and accessibility across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data from multiple sources into data warehouses and lakes.
• Develop and optimize data models to support analytics and reporting needs.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to ensure data quality and availability for downstream applications.
• Monitor pipeline performance and troubleshoot issues to maintain system reliability.
• Implement and enforce data governance, security, and compliance standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and experience with data pipeline tools like Apache Airflow or similar.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and their data services (e.g., BigQuery, Redshift, S3).
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
• Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) and streaming platforms (e.g., Kafka).
• Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworks.
