Job summary

DXC Technology is seeking a senior software engineer to contribute to development projects, focusing on complex and critical components. You will write, test, and debug code, collaborating with teammates to meet demanding requirements and ensure high quality.

You will mentor junior engineers, participate in design reviews, and stay current with emerging technologies while maintaining a strong customer focus and ownership of challenging issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of industry experience, including ≥2 years in a similar role.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages and development methodologies.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving abilities.
• Good teamwork and communication; ownership of complex challenges.
• Advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (i.e., Computer Science) or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Typically, 5+ years of relevant work experience in industry, with a minimum of 2 years in a similar role years of relevant software engineering experience
• Proficiency in 1 or more software languages and development methodologies
• Strong programming and debugging skills
• Familiarity with software development practices and methodologies
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Good team collaboration and communication abilities
• Willingness to take ownership of complex technical challenges

Other Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in a related field is a plus
• Relevant certifications or training a plus
