Application Technical Leader

We offer a dynamic role as an Application Technical Leader within our Application Service DXC Team, based in Milan with remote work possibilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute business and technical software solutions to implement new or enhanced applications (upgrades or conversions).
• Analyze, identify, and resolve business and technical problems using appropriate solutions/tools.
• Collaborate with Client‑facing colleagues (Business Analysts and Project Managers) to understand the business environment, technical context, and organizational strategic direction.
• Stay current on emerging tools, techniques, and technologies.
• Lead a small team, provide mentoring and guidance to less senior developers while working with them on solution design.

Education and Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (technical fields such as Computer Science or Computer Engineering preferred).
• Experience and knowledge of Digital Development Services, Agile Application Development, DevOps, cloud‑based applications, and Microservices architecture and patterns.
• Strong technical experience writing code in Java EE, Spring Framework (Core, MVC, Security, Data, Boot), Single Page Application frameworks, Microservices, Docker, design patterns, architecture design, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with software development processes such as Agile and Waterfall, and DevOps practices.
• Ability to work with web‑development tools for new applications.
• Basic understanding of modern software design and development methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, decision‑making, and teamwork skills.
