Job summary

DXC Technology in Naples is seeking a Database Administrator Expert to join the Cloud & Infrastructure team, owning end-to-end database design, deployment and tuning.

You will work across Oracle RAC, SQL Server Always On, PostgreSQL clusters and MongoDB replica sets, collaborating with infrastructure and client teams.

The role offers hybrid working and a competitive base salary starting at €36,000 per year, with benefits including health insurance, pension, meal vouchers and more.

Qualifications

DXC Technology is looking for a Database Administrator Expert to join the Cloud & Infrastructure team.

Responsibilities

• Proven experience in operational management and performance tuning of databases, with end-to-end technical ownership of the database environment, from design to implementation


• Strong skills in backup/restore strategies and service continuity support


• Ability to monitor and troubleshoot performance issues, including the resolution of complex technical problems on database systems and platforms


• Experience collaborating with infrastructure teams for application integration, and direct interface with clients and technical teams for requirements gathering and solution validation


• Technical guidance and support for junior/mid team members, contributing to the definition of technical standards and best practices within the team


• Availability to contribute to the hiring process through technical assessments during interviews

• Team player mindset and ability to manage tasks and priorities independently, with strong problem-solving skills and effective communication with clients and technical teams

Compensation is determined in line with the applicable collective labor agreement (CBA: Contratto Collettivo Nazionale di Lavoro per l'industria metalmeccanica e della installazione di impianti) and based on objective and gender-neutral criteria, including responsibility, experience and skills.
