AIT Worldwide Logistics is seeking a Specialist Ocean Freight to ensure smooth, compliant export operations for key customers in Lombardia, Italy. You will apply customer-specific processes and handle related administrative tasks to keep shipments on track.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of working experience in ocean freight forwarding.
• Strong PC skills (Windows, Microsoft Office applications) preferred.
• Experience in the use of a freight forwarding software.
• Fluent oral and written English and communicative Italian is a must.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the smooth and on time processing of export shipments.
• Optimizing and securing the documentation of procedures and processes.
• Supporting and advising customers.
• Carrying out customs clearance.
• Handling correspondence with customers, agents, and service providers.
• Preparation of quotation and follow‑up of the quotation process.
• Conducting sales negotiations.
• Securing and processing invoices to customers.
• Monitoring of meetings and deadlines.
• Invoicing.
• Execute all Dangerous Goods shipments in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations (as applicable)
• Preparation of Letters of credit compliant, Bill of Landings, delivery bills, customs documents, etc

Overview

As Specialist Ocean Freight, you will ensure the smooth and compliant flow of export operations for assigned customers while implementing customer‑specific processes and procedures. You will also be responsible for handling all related administrative tasks.
