AIT Worldwide Logistics, Inc. seeks a Business Development Manager to create and grow an account base, developing and executing a field sales plan to achieve corporate revenue goals. The role emphasizes client engagement, strategic planning and CRM data upkeep.

This is a field-based remote role located in central Italy (from Bologna to Rome). You will drive new business across core services, negotiate with clients and support ongoing customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• Completed forwarding specialist training
• 5+ years B2B sales in logistics, freight forwarding or supply chain
• Fluent Italian and strong English

Overview

The Business Development Manager is responsible for creating, growing and managing an account base. Accountable to directly identify and initiate development efforts. Develop and execute a field sales business plan that will achieve the corporate revenue goals.Accountable to directly identify and initiate business development opportunities

This is a field-based remote role. We are looking for individuals to be located in central Italy (from Bolognia to Rome area).

Responsibilities

• Develops new business across all of our core competencies
• Identify, initiate and engage with clients that provide sustained and profitable revenue streams multiple services
• Develop and execute a business plan that will achieve sales quota and budget as defined by the company
• Support and consulting of existing customers as well as further development of a professional cooperation
• Conducting sales and negotiation meetings
• Preparation of offers and calculations
• Processing of customer correspondence
• Preparation and assembly of accompanying documents (offers, concepts, presentations, etc.)
• Planning; organization and execution of customer visits
• Recording and ensuring data maintenance in the CRM as well as for cross-departmental topics in the CRM
• Implementation of regular review meetings

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• Completed further training as a forwarding specialist
• 5+ year’s relevant business to business sales experience in Logisitcs, Freight Forwarding or Supply Chain Industry preferred
• Fluent level Italian and very good English language skills
