AIT Worldwide Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Specialist Ocean Freight to manage export operations for assigned customers, ensuring compliance and efficient documentation. You will handle quotations, respond to inquiries, and support customs formalities within a global logistics network.

The role requires 1–3 years in ocean freight forwarding, fluent English and Italian, strong PC skills, and a customer‑focused, proactive mindset in a hybrid work environment with competitive benefits.

Competenze

• 1-3 years of working experience in ocean freight forwarding.
• University degree (nice to have).
• Fluent oral and written English and communicative Italian is a must.
• Strong PC skills (Windows, Microsoft Office) and experience with freight forwarding software.

Overview

As Specialist Ocean Freight, you will ensure the smooth and compliant flow of export operations for assigned customers while implementing customer‑specific processes and procedures. You will also be responsible for handling all related administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the smooth and on time processing of export shipments
• Optimizing and securing the documentation of procedures and processes
• Supporting and Advising customers
• Carrying out customs clearance
• Handling correspondence with customers, agents, and service providers
• Preparation of quotation and follow-up of the quotation process
• Conducting sales negotiations
• Securing and processing invoices to customers
• Monitoring of meetings and deadlines
• Invoicing
• Execute all Dangerous Goods shipments in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations (as applicable)Preparation of Letters ofcredit compliant, Bill of Landings, delivery bills, customs documents, etc

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of working experience in ocean freight forwarding
• University degree (nice to have)
• Strong PC skills (Windows, Microsoft Office applications) preferred
• Experience in the use of a freight forwarding software
• Fluent oral and written English and communicative Italian is a must
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence at all levels of the organization, strong cultural sensitivity, and ability to build up relationship
• Strong team player with the ability to work independently
• Pro-active, target driven, solutions-oriented and good attention to details

• According to the CCNL Logistica Trasporto Merci e Spedizione the minimum salary for this position at level 3 is EUR 1.916,84 gross per month. The final offer will depend on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and skills
