Albelissa Engineering, IT & Digital Solutions in Italy seeks a Hardware Electronics Designer to own the RF front-end and antenna hardware for an in-house X-band AESA radar payload, including in-orbit rendezvous and proximity operations.

You will coordinate subcontractors for non-core boards and integration, lead RF/microwave design, antenna/feed network, RF PCB layouts, calibration, and hardware validation, interfacing with software to maximize HW/SW integration.

Competenze

• 3+ years of RF/microwave hardware design experience.
• Hands-on RF testing with VNA, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators.
• High-frequency PCB design with controlled impedance and RF layout.

Mansioni

• Lead RF/microwave front-end design: T/R modules, LNAs, PA, filters, mixers, switches, beamforming network.
• Design AESA antenna/phased array and feed network with beam-steering capabilities.
• Produce RF PCB designs including impedance control, RF routing, grounding and shielding.
• Define and implement calibration approaches for phased array and RF chain.
• Lead hardware integration verification and validation from strategy to in-orbit validation.
• Characterise performance with RF lab instrumentation and correlate with models.
• Interface with subcontractors for digital/FPGA carrier boards, power, mechanical, thermal, PCB fabrication and environmental testing.
• Ensure internal interfaces of RADAR on RF and digital/processing sides and collaborate with software.
