Alstom in Italy is seeking a Software Verification Validation & Testing Engineer (VV&TE) to perform verification and validation on Train Control Management System and sub-systems on the project.

You will set up verification environments, deliver test procedures, and maintain configuration management; knowledge of TestStand, Matlab/Simulink, and railway standards is valuable. The role follows a hybrid work model combining remote work and on-site presence.

The Software Verification Validation & Testing Engineer (VV&TE)performs verification and validation activities on functions of Train Control Management System and of Sub-Systems on the project assigned.

The VV&TE isaccountable for Tests on Train and on Test Benches (HIL for TCMS, SubSystem and Electrical schematics simulated).

In particular the VV&TE isaccountable for:

• Delivery of Verification & Tests tools to be used during Validation Campaign
• Setting up the verification & test environment (including MIL subsystems) applying the appropriate configuration
• Delivery of TCMS verification & test procedures on the functions and sub-systems in his/her scope.
• Performing TCMS verification and tests on test-benches and trains
• Delivery of TCMS verification & test reports on the functions and sub-systems in his/her scope
• Delivery of TCMS coverage matrix on the functions and sub-systems in his/her scope
• Configuration management of Verification & Test deliverables on the functions and sub-systems in his/her scope : 100% deliverables properly managed into configuration database
• Management of validation status of change requests (CR) on the functions and sub-systems in his/her scope : all CR status up to date in CR database (in line with test procedures and reports)
• Management of CR on the functions and sub-systems in his/her scope: all NOK results in test reports related to a CR
  

Knowledge & Experience required:

• Experience on train validation
• Practical knowledge of validation methods (boundary tests, equivalent class tests…)
• Practical knowledge of validation tools (TestStand, model-based testing tools…)
• Practical knowledge of validation Means (Testbench, simulators…)
• Practical knowledge with software development using model-based development tools like Matlab / Simulink, Control Build in Railway.
• Knowledge of network protocols like MVB, WTB,TRDP
• Knowledge of train electrical schematics
• Experience on Testing and Commissioning is a plus
• Customer technical interface is a plus
• Agility and capab ility to think outside the box
