Alstom is seeking a System Validation Manager to lead project testing activities, manage resources and KPIs, and promote standard processes across projects in our Lombardy operations. You will coordinate testing strategies, optimize workload, and work with Sourcing on subcontracting decisions.

The role focuses on defining training plans, overseeing performance, and ensuring timely deliveries across multiple projects with a strong emphasis on continuous improvement and QCD awareness.

Competenze

• Experience applying standard processes and related methodologies to ensure project-domain efficiency.
• Define, develop and share reusable test patterns for the TDS organization.
• Promote continuous improvement initiatives within the team.

Mansioni

• Assigning resources (staff, …) for executing Projects testing activities.
• Managing the workload, including subcontracted parts (technical assistance or work-packages).
• Contributing to the subcontracting strategy in liaison with Sourcing.
• Evaluating performance and setting objectives of the team.
• Defining the training plan appropriate to the team’s needs and Alstom strategy.
• Proposing investments to ensure deliveries on projects conducted by the Site.
• Managing scope by using KPIs related to their domain.
• Keeping informed of the QCD of projects their team contributes to.
• Initiating and following up action plans to solve issues across projects and improve results.

• Global workload management of their team (capacity vs workload), depending the TDS organization.
• Level of application of standard process & tools (100%)

Return of Experience (REX) management between projects

Responsibilities

Accountable for :

• Applying the standard processes and related methodologies and tools in order to ensure their domain efficiency within projects development
• Defining, developing and sharing re-usable “test patterns” depending the TDS organization.
• Promoting continuous improvement initiatives in their team depending the TDS organization.
• Managing the traceability and configuration of tools used by their team depending the TDS organization.

Responsible for :

• Assigning the resources (staff, …) for executing Projects testing activities
• Managing the workload, including the sub-contracted part (technical assistance or work-package) depending the TDS organization.
• Contributing to the sub-contracting strategy in liaise with Sourcing
• Evaluating performance and setting objectives of their team
• Defining the training plan appropriate to their team’s needs and Alstom strategy
• Proposing to the Site CV Manager the investments necessary to ensure the deliveries on projects conducted by the Site.
• Managing their scope by using regularly updated KPIs related to their domain
• Keeping be informed of the QCD of Projects their team contributes to, in order to propose improvements, if necessary
• Initiating and following up action plans to solve issues common across projects and/or improve results in projects
