Baker Hughes is seeking a Junior Control Software Engineer to design and implement control algorithms for gas and steam turbine driven equipment, motors, and compressors. You will develop software, validate systems, and support project reviews across customers and suppliers.

The role requires an MSc in relevant engineering fields, PLC programming proficiency, knowledge of control algorithms, and willingness to travel up to 10% for site or customer engagements. English fluency is essential.

Partner with the best

As Junior Control Software Engineer, you will be involved in Control algorithms and software development for Gas Turbine and Steam Turbine driven Compressor and Generator applications, Electric Motors, Reciprocating Compressors and Turboexpanders. You will work on activities relevant to Control Systems either for Customer projects or standardization tasks and validation of the relevant solution. As a Junior Control Software Engineer, you will take part in:

• Developing Control System Software according to technical specifications including software coding, validation, and verification, to guarantee the overall control systems quality before site commissioning.
• Analyzing systematic and timely nonconformities (NCM/CCM) and attending technical meetings with Project Team, Customers and Supplier.
• Creating and maintaining Control SW Libraries, fostering Control Systems Continuous Improvement process, implementing Lesson Learn (LL) and Corrective/Preventive Actions (CAPA).
• Supporting New Product and New Technology introduction in the market, participating as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a MSc. in Computer Science, Automation, Electronic, Telecommunication or Automation Engineering
• Be proficient in industrial PLC programming languages and configuration tools.
• Sound knowledge of main industrial network communication protocols and standards and on control system algorithms design and dynamic systems models design.
• Display knowledge of Advanced Controls Techniques with focus on Model based Control
• Demonstrate effective communication, interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to influence others.
• Be able to work in multi-cultural team and willing to travel worldwide up to 10% of the time for short customer meetings and/or site/test bed support
• Be fluent in spoken and written English.

The initial pay range for this position will be EUR 38,605 To 59,000.

The provisions of Contratto Collettivo Industria Metalmeccanica e della installazione di impianti will be applied to this position. Section VI – Titolo IV of that collective bargaining agreement relates to pay
