Job summary

JD.com is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Service Provider Management professional to oversee and optimize relationships with our third-party service providers, ensuring high-quality and cost-effective services.

You will lead provider selection, onboarding, and performance management, negotiate SLAs and contracts, monitor KPIs, and collaborate with procurement, operations, and legal teams to align supplier strategies with business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business-related field required.
• 5+ years in service provider or vendor management, ideally in ecommerce or logistics.
• Proven track record managing complex third-party relationships.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Analytical thinker with data-driven decision making.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder influence.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies for service provider selection, onboarding and ongoing performance management.
• Negotiate and manage SLAs and contracts with providers, ensuring terms are met.
• Monitor provider performance against KPIs and drive improvements.
• Conduct regular business reviews with providers to discuss performance and resolve issues.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with procurement, operations and legal to align supplier strategies with business needs.
• Stay updated on best practices and trends in provider management.
• Manage budgets related to provider costs and identify cost-optimization opportunities.
• Resolve escalated disputes with providers promptly.

Job Summary

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies for effective service provider selection, onboarding, and ongoing performance management.
• Negotiate and manage service level agreements (SLAs) and contracts with various service providers, ensuring adherence to terms and conditions.
• Monitor and evaluate service provider performance against established KPIs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
• Conduct regular business reviews with service providers to discuss performance, address issues, and foster strong collaborative relationships.
• Identify potential risks associated with service providers and develop mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (e.g., procurement, operations, legal) to align service provider strategies with business needs.
• Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in service provider management.
• Manage budgets related to service provider costs and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
• Resolve escalated issues and disputes with service providers in a timely and effective manner.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in service provider management, vendor management, or procurement, preferably within an e-commerce or logistics environment.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex relationships with third-party service providers.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficiency in English; Mandarin Chinese is a significant plus.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Experience with service management software and tools is desirable.
