Vertiv is seeking a Thermodynamic Engineer in Piove di Sacco (PD), Italy, to join the Thermal Management mechanical Design team. The role focuses on chiller and chilled water products within R&D, collaborating across functions to deliver high-performance, cost-effective designs.

Requirements include a bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Energy Engineering, HVAC experience, strong thermodynamics knowledge, and English at an intermediate level. Travel to NA/China may be required.

• Manage the development of new R&D products in the data center cooling sector for high-profile global datacenter customers.
• Deliver fast, customer-focused NPDI responses based on existing platforms.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on global products emphasizing performance, cost, and innovation.
• Lead design of new products or re-engineer existing ones in coordination with Marketing, Procurement and Industrial Engineering.
• Approve and review product documentation (CAD drawings, specifications, BOMs).
• Meet objectives of cost, quality, environment and time, balancing market and customer needs.
• Analyze and resolve technical problems related to owned products.
• Willingness to travel between the Italian HQ and other divisions (NA, China).
• Strong background in HVAC with focus on Thermodynamics and refrigeration.
