ABB E-mobility in Italy seeks a Senior Test Automation Engineer to lead automated manufacturing tests for DC charging products from prototype to mass production.

You will transform product and manufacturing requirements into traceable test specifications, automate end-to-end validation, and drive first-pass yield improvements. Working with hardware and software teams, you will enable Design for Testability and robust test infrastructure across the product lifecycle.

Competenze

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related technical discipline.
• Significant experience in manufacturing/test engineering or test automation environments.
• Strong programming and test automation skills using Python, C#, or comparable technologies.
• Solid understanding of end-of-line testing, black-box validation, and test-coverage analysis.
• Experience validating product releases, software updates, hardware variants, and engineering changes.
• Hands-on expertise diagnosing hardware and software issues using diagnostic tools.
• Proven ability to define and integrate production fixtures and data-acquisition systems.
• Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and controlled software releases.
• Knowledge of communication protocols, APIs, databases, and automated test-system integration.
• Strong analytical, ownership, adaptability, quality focus, and cross-functional collaboration with fluent English.

Mansioni

• Own the design, deployment, and continuous improvement of automated end-of-line and in-line manufacturing tests.
• Translate product, system, and manufacturing requirements into traceable test specifications and automation flows.
• Plan and execute end-to-end black-box validation activities for new products and software releases.
• Partner with hardware and software teams to drive Design for Testability (DfT).
• Support the full product lifecycle by testing prototypes and pilot builds for production readiness.
• Investigate failures across power electronics, embedded software, and interfaces; perform root-cause analysis.
• Specify, design, integrate, and deploy production fixtures, instrumentation, and data-acquisition systems.
• Manage requirements, repositories, defects, traceability, CI/CD integration using Azure DevOps and Git.
• Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, quality, and suppliers to resolve product-quality issues and scale test automation.
