X-ELIO, a Brookfield-owned global renewable energy leader based in Rome, Italy, seeks a Senior Technical Project Manager to oversee engineering activities for utility-scale PV and BESS projects throughout development, design, construction, and commissioning.

You will lead technical reviews, coordinate with EPCs and lenders, ensure compliance with IEC/IEEE standards, optimize CAPEX, and mentor diverse engineering teams while reporting to the Engineering & Construction Manager Italy.

Competenze

• Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering.
• 5+ years as Engineering Manager or Senior Engineering Lead.
• Experience in PV/BESS projects across full lifecycle.
• English and Italian proficiency.
• Experience with co-developers, EPCs, and international teams.

Mansioni

• Lead engineering for PV and BESS from development to commissioning.
• Act as technical reference for grid connection and layout optimization.
• Support permitting, due diligence, and M&A processes.

• Based in: Rome, Italy
• Open opportunity: Senior Technical Project Manager Manager

The selected professional will be responsible for leading and overseeing all engineering activities related to utility-scale photovoltaic and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects in Italy, covering the full project lifecycle: development, design, construction, and commissioning.

What will you do?

• Lead engineering for PV and BESS projects from early-stage to development, permitting, construction, and commissioning
• Act as technical reference for grid connection, layout optimization, yield assessments, and technology selection
• Support permitting, due diligence, and M&A processes
• Validate designs from co-developers, consultants, and EPCs
• Review RFIs and design changes; supporting commissioning and performance validation
• Ensure compliance with IEC/IEEE standards and bankability requirements
• Drive CAPEX optimization and support investment decisions with technical-economic analysis
• Collaborate with finance, procurement, and commercial teams
• Lead BESS-specific engineering: sizing, integration, safety compliance, and grid code requirements
• Manage technical interfaces with EPCs, grid operators, lenders, and authorities
• Lead and mentor multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Prepare technical reports for management and investors

What do we need?

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as Engineering Manager or Senior Engineering Lead in utility-scale PV and/or BESS projects.
• Proven experience in project development, design review, CAPEX analysis, and construction-phase engineering management.
• Strong knowledge of PV and BESS technologies, grid integration, and EPC project execution.
• Experience working with co-developers, EPC contractors, and international project teams.
• Proficiency in English and Italian. Knowledge of Spanish will be considered a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point).
