Job summary

GlobalFoundries Inc. in Italy seeks an experienced Technical Project Management Lead to drive IC development programs for AI and data center applications. You will lead cross-functional teams from concept through production, coordinating with customers, suppliers, and executives.

The role requires strong governance, risk management, and stakeholder management skills, plus relocation to Pavia/Milan and fluent English. On-site office work is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Significant experience in semiconductor product development, including IC design and product realization.
• Proven track record leading large-scale cross-functional programs involving engineering teams, customers, suppliers, and external partners.
• Strong knowledge of project and program management methodologies, governance, risk management, and resource planning.
• Experience managing complex stakeholder environments and influencing decisions across multiple organizational levels.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, including mentoring project managers and coordinating multifunctional teams.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and executive presentation skills.
• Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to work in the office in Pavia / Milan (relocation support possible).

Responsibilities

• Lead complex IC development programs from initial planning through product release and mass production.
• Serve as the primary program interface between engineering teams, customers, suppliers, partners, and executive stakeholders.
• Establish and drive project management processes, governance models, planning frameworks, and reporting mechanisms to support scalable execution.
• Coordinate cross-functional activities across design, packaging, manufacturing, qualification, business, and customer organizations.
• Manage program scope, schedules, risks, dependencies, resources, and change management activities.
• Lead and mentor project managers responsible for individual program workstreams.
• Provide clear program status, risk assessments, and strategic recommendations to leadership and key stakeholders.
