Job summary

GlobalFoundries seeks a Senior Hardware Engineer to lead power-delivery solutions for AI accelerators, GPUs, and HPC. You will work across ASIC, package, PCB and system levels, ensuring robust electrical, thermal, and mechanical integration in collaboration with design teams and customers.

You will define requirements, drive bring-up and validation, and address design constraints while partnering with OSATs and customers. Office-based role in Pavia with potential mobility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
• 5+ years of hardware, system, or power electronics design in semiconductor or HPC.
• Experience bringing up complex PCB- and semiconductor-based systems.
• Strong knowledge of power electronics, PDN, SI, and PI in multi-domain designs.
• Experience with hardware characterization, debugging, validation and failure analysis.
• Familiarity with thermal and mechanical considerations in high-performance systems.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).
• Willingness to work in the office in Pavia; mobility possible.

Responsibilities

• Define hardware and system-level requirements for power-delivery ASIC solutions.
• Drive hardware development across ASIC, package, PCB and system levels.
• Collaborate with OSAT partners, package designers, PCB designers and IC teams.
• Address electrical, thermal, and mechanical design constraints throughout development.
• Translate customer requirements into technical specifications.
• Lead bring-up, characterization, debugging, root-cause analysis and validation.
• Define validation strategies and support technical reviews and project execution.
