Job summary

Four Seasons Naples seeks a passionate Sommelier to oversee the hotel's wine program, planning wine purchases, menus and education while collaborating with outlets to drive wine sales and guest satisfaction.

You will develop and update a wine list, ensure correct glassware and service standards, manage the wine cellar, train staff, and assist in daily hospitality operations to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and speak English
• Proficiency with standard computer applications used in F&B service

Responsibilities

• Describe food & beverage menu items with vivid descriptions and communicate guest orders to the kitchen
• Develop and update a wine list reflecting style, pricing goals, and guest preferences
• Ensure correct glassware for wines, beers and spirits and provide impeccable service, including decanting where appropriate
• Manage wine cellar operations: receipt, storage, inventory and ordering of beverages
• Assist in a wine training program and conduct training sessions with service staff and catering/conference services
• Utilize restaurant computer systems for daily operations
• Perform other duties as assigned by hotel management and staff
• Communicate effectively with F&B staff and managers daily
• Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to concerns and requests
• Close guest checks and process payments; settle voided checks or complimentary meals
• Adhere to Four Seasons' policies and standards of conduct
