Job summary

Allianz Italia in Milan is seeking a senior underwriting leader to develop and execute strategy for Constructions and Corporate Client risks in the Italian market. You will collaborate with the Risk Engineering Team and Group to achieve Mid Corporate targets, while serving as contact for agents/brokers.

The role requires leadership, deep risk assessment expertise, and fluency in English and Italian. You will work within an international group, leveraging analytics and Office 365 tools to drive

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Industrial, Civil, Construction, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 8–15 years of proven underwriting experience in risk engineering for corporate and construction risks and Engineering Professional Firms.
• Strong leadership and communication capabilities.
• Solid understanding of pricing, policy administration life cycle, and market analysis.

Responsibilities

• Ensure underwriters comply with underwriting authority, pricing and rating guidelines.
• Steer and control the portfolio at local level in conjunction with the Head of Engineering to drive financial targets.
• Review performance of end-to-end underwriting life cycle with cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with Sales, Risk Consulting, Claims and other lines to achieve marketing strategies including cross-selling.
• Ensure underwriting consistency, governance and adherence to local regulations and authority levels.
• Support development and implementation of new or modified products.
• Assist in acquisition of new business and retention, including agent and broker negotiations.
• Communicate local business strategy externally.
