Job summary

Allianz Spa in Milan seeks an experienced Risk Engineering Underwriter to develop and execute the strategy for Construction and Corporate Client risks in Italy. You will collaborate with the Risk Engineering Team and interact with agents and brokers to support Allianz Mid Corporate targets.

The role requires engineering graduates with 3–7 years of underwriting experience, strong risk assessment skills, and fluency in English and Italian; you will work in an international environment and drive

Qualifications

Bachelor/Master's degree in Industrial, Civil, Construction or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
3–7 years of proven underwriting experience in Risk Engineering for corporate, construction risks and Engineering Professional Firms.
Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Ensure underwriters comply with underwriting authority, pricing and rating guidelines.
Steer and control the portfolio at local level to drive financial targets.
Collaborate with Sales, Risk Consulting, Claims and other lines to achieve marketing strategies.
Maintain underwriting consistency and adhere to corporate governance and local regulations.
Support development and implementation of new/modified products.
Assist in acquiring new business and retaining existing business.
Communicate local business strategy externally.
