Job summary

Allianz in Milan is seeking a Risk Engineering professional to develop and execute the strategy for Construction and Corporate Client risks in the Italian market. You will collaborate with the Group and join the Risk Engineering Team to support mid-corporate targets, coordinating with agents and brokers.

This role requires a Master’s in a relevant engineering field, 3–7 years underwriting experience, leadership and strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Industrial, Civil, Construction or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–7 years of underwriting experience for corporate and construction risks.
• Proven leadership and people management skills.
• Strong risk assessment and policy administration knowledge.
• Pricing expertise and market analysis skills.
• Experience designing robust policy wordings and underwriting projects (preferred).
• Entrepreneurial mindset and proactive approach.
• Excellent written and spoken English and Italian.
• Data analytics capability and familiarity with Office 365.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategy for Construction and Corporate Client risks in Italy.
• Manage underwriting life cycle and ensure adherence to guidelines.
• Collaborate with Sales, Risk Consulting, Claims and other lines for marketing strategies.
• Support new product development and modifications.
• Lead negotiations with agents and brokers and contribute to external communication.
• Report to Risk Engineering Team and coordinate with Group.
