Optimis Tech, a leading Italian technology and digital engineering consultancy, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Python Developer to support a major international project on a long-term freelance basis. The role requires expert Python development, ML experience and work with scientific data in a demanding environment.

The position is based in Northern Italy, near Varese, with a start ASAP and a duration of up to 4 years. Fluency in English and Italian at B2 level or higher is expected.

Competenze

• 6+ years of experience programming in Python.
• 6+ years delivering code and unit testing.
• 4+ years applying machine learning frameworks.
• 4+ years handling scientific data formats.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work in a technical team and independently.
• Very good English and Italian at B2 level or higher.

Mansioni

• Design, develop and maintain software solutions using Python.
• Perform technical analysis and translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Deliver clean, maintainable and well-tested code.
• Develop and maintain unit tests to ensure software quality and reliability; apply ML frameworks to solve problems.
