Agap2 Italia is seeking a seasoned Planning Engineer based in Milano to lead project planning for Oil & Gas EPC projects. You will develop, monitor and update schedules across engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, offshore installation, commissioning and handover.

Strong CPM/WBS expertise and English communication are essential. The role supports the Project Manager and ensures alignment between onshore and offshore activities, delivering precise planning outputs and proactive

Competenze

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
  • 8+ years of professional experience in project planning and scheduling.
  • Proven experience in Planning roles within Oil & Gas, EPC or complex industrial projects.
  • Strong knowledge of scheduling, WBS, CPM, progress monitoring and delay analysis.
  • Experience with fabrication yard, module assembly, construction and offshore projects.
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent spoken and written English with ability to prepare technical reports.

Mansioni

  • Develop and maintain the Project Master Schedule.
  • Define the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), activity coding, milestones and critical path.
  • Monitor actual progress against the baseline schedule.
  • Update project schedules with actual progress data and identify deviations.
  • Develop recovery plans, mitigation measures and short-term look-ahead schedules.
  • Maintain progress curves, S-curves and manpower histograms.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, offshore and commissioning teams to collect progress data.
  • Integrate subcontractor and vendor schedules into the overall project schedule.
  • Monitor key activities including yard fabrication, module assembly, civil works, vendor deliveries, marine vessel mobilization, subsea installation, hook-up and commissioning campaigns.
  • Ensure alignment between onshore and offshore execution schedules, particularly for critical project interfaces.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly planning reports for project management and the Client.
  • Perform Critical Path Method (CPM) analysis and highlight potential delays and corrective actions.
  • Perform schedule impact analysis related to change orders and variations.
  • Support claims and Extension of Time (EOT) submissions through Time Impact Analysis (TIA).
  • Maintain accurate planning records and schedule documentation.

Part of the MoOngy Group, Agap2 operates across the European market in 14 countries, providing engineering and plant engineering consultancy services. Since 2018, Agap2 Italia has been operating across the Italian market in the following sectors: Energy, Oil&Gas, Steel, Hydrogen, Power Generation, Construction.

We are looking for a Planning Engineer with at least 8 years of experience in project planning and scheduling within Oil&Gas and EPC projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, monitoring and updating project schedules across all project phases, from engineering and procurement through fabrication, construction, offshore installation, commissioning and handover.

The role will support the Project Manager and Project Service Manager by providing schedule forecasts, progress updates, critical path analysis and delay assessments, enabling proactive project management and timely corrective actions.

Main responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain the Project Master Schedule in line with the Project Execution Plan.
  • Define the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), activity coding, milestones and critical path.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in Planning roles within Oil&Gas, EPC or complex industrial projects.
  • Strong knowledge of project scheduling, WBS, CPM, progress monitoring and delay analysis.
  • Experience in fabrication yard, module assembly, construction and/or offshore projects.
  • Good understanding of engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning activities.
  • Experience coordinating multiple work fronts and project interfaces.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proactive approach to identifying and mitigating schedule risks.

    Excellent spoken and written English, including proven ability to prepare technical reports.

The salary for this role ranges from €40.000 to €70.000

The position is governed by the National Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCNL) for the Commerce and Tertiary Sector applied by our company.

The final salary within the stated range will be determined based on the candidate's technical skills, relevant experience in the role, and the outcome of the selection process, using objective and neutral criteria.

In exceptional cases, where a candidate's profile significantly exceeds the requirements associated with the stated salary range, a review of the compensation may be considered, subject to internal approval.
