Job summary

Henkel invites a seasoned Project Engineer to lead cross-functional, CAPEX investment projects across Europe, primarily in Casarile, Italy. You will drive feasibility, concept development, execution, commissioning, and turnover with lessons learned.

The ideal candidate combines 7+ years in project engineering, strong PM skills, and fluency in Italian and English, with readiness to travel across Europe.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Industrial Chemistry.
• 7+ years in Project Engineering, preferably CAPEX in process industries.
• Strong project management skills with standard tools/methodologies.
• Fluent in Italian and English (written and spoken).
• Willingness to travel across Europe.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute investment projects safely, on time, on budget, and in line with Henkel’s Project Management Framework.
• Manage all technical and engineering aspects of assigned projects in the European region, mainly in Casarile - Italy.
• Drive all project phases—from feasibility to closure— including lessons learned.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate potential project risks, resolving issues as appropriate.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders and cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment and transparency.
• Collaborate with internal experts and technology specialists for best-in-class solutions.
• Facilitate ongoing best practice exchange between sites and the regional engineering group.
• Actively contribute to continuous improvement.

What You´ll Do

• Coordinate and communicate effectively with project stakeholders and cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment and transparency
• Collaborate with internal experts and technology specialists to secure best-in-class technical solutions
• Facilitate ongoing best practice exchange between sites and the regional engineering group
• Actively contribute to the continuous improvement

What makes you a good fit

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Industrial Chemistry
• Minimum 7 years of experience in Project Engineering, preferably managing CAPEX investment projects within process industries such as chemical, pharmaceutical, food, or related manufacturing environments
• Strong project management skills, including experience with relevant tools and methodologies
• High degree of self-motivation, autonomy, and flexibility in a dynamic international environment
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across all organizational levels and functions
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MS Project, CAD applications
• Fluent in Italian and English (written and spoken)
• Willingness to travel across Europe

Gross annual salary starting from €50.000
