Job summary

EssilorLuxottica in Italy is seeking a Process Quality Engineer to ensure quality readiness and manufacturing excellence across NPI to mass production. You will work at the intersection of Quality, Engineering and Manufacturing to solve complex challenges in wearable technology.

You"ll partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Supplier Quality teams, monitor KPIs, investigate issues, and drive root cause analysis with effective corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or technical field (Electronics/Mechatronics/Industrial).
• Experience in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing, Process Engineering; NPI in electronics is a plus.
• Exposure to consumer electronics or high-tech manufacturing is a strong plus.
• Knowledge of PFMEA, Control Plans, 8D, RCA.
• Understanding of manufacturing/industrialization/continuous improvement with data-driven decisions.
• Good understanding of PCB/PCBA, sensors, cameras, batteries, wireless tech.
• Familiarity with functional, validation and reliability testing.
• Ability to read technical docs, BOMs and basic schematics.
• Strong analytical mindset, proactive, cross-functional communication.
• Good English communication is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Support the quality readiness of new products through NPI and industrialization.
• Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and SQ teams to embed quality early.
• Monitor production KPIs, identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities.
• Investigate quality issues and drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Contribute to PFMEA, process validation, Control Plan definitions and quality gates.
• Support qualification and industrialization of new technologies and modules.
• Analyze quality and production data, translating insights into recommendations.
• Support testing activities for electronics products and smart modules.
• Promote culture of quality excellence and cross-functional collaboration.
• Assist smooth transition from development to large-scale production.
