NextChem in Italy, located in Catania, seeks a Senior Process Engineer to lead design and optimization of chemical processes for energy transition projects. You will develop PFDs/P&IDs, size equipment, and support process safety and regulatory compliance.

Role requires ASPEN/HYSYS experience, AutoCAD basics, and strong MS Office skills. Travel across Europe is expected as projects evolve within our sustainable technology portfolio.

Competenze

• Master’s degree in chemical engineering
• Advanced knowledge of production processes and technologies
• Experience with process simulation software (ASPEN, HYSYS)
• AutoCAD basic features
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Mansioni

• Develop Process Design activities during project execution
• Carry out process analysis and simulations to evaluate efficiency
• Prepare Heat Material Balance Sheets
• Create PFDs and P&IDs
• Equipment sizing and datasheet compilation
• Define and size process lines and PSV/Control valves
• Support HazOp/HazId and RFQ processes
• Collaborate across disciplines for detailed design
• Conduct feasibility analyses
• Ensure safety, reliability and efficiency of plants
• Verify compliance with quality and environmental standards
