RINA is actively seeking a Senior Process Engineer - Categorie Protette to join our Plant Engineering Division in Genoa, Rozzano, or Milan. The role focuses on leading process design, optimization, and project execution for energy assets, with emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance.

The candidate will lead multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior engineers, review calculations and reports, and support proposals.

Competenze

• Mandatory requirement: registered as a protected category candidate under Italian Law 68/99 (collocamento mirato).
• +8 years of experience in process engineering within the energy industry.
• Proven track record of leading process design and optimization projects from conception to completion.
• Strong technical expertise in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS) and engineering tools.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or relevant certifications preferred.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
• Good Italian communication skills and fluent in English languages

Mansioni

• Lead and oversee process engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle, from feasibility and concept studies to FEED, detailed engineering, commissioning, and operational support.
• Develop and review key process engineering deliverables, including PFDs, P&IDs, heat & material balances, process datasheets, and operating philosophies.
• Perform and supervise process simulations, hydraulic calculations, equipment sizing, flare and relief studies, and other analyses using industry-standard tools.
• Ensure all deliverables comply with project requirements, codes, standards, and client specifications.
• Act as technical focal point for process engineering within multidisciplinary teams and provide guidance to junior engineers.
• Support proposal preparation, scope definition, and technical bid evaluations.
• Lead projects related to Oil & Gas, LNG, Hydrogen, CCS, Power generation and energy transition initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve process safety, efficiency, and lifecycle costs.
