Black & White Engineering cerca un Ingegnere Meccanico Senior/Principal per guidare la progettazione di sistemi meccanici per data centre iperscalabili e colocation. È richiesta esperienza in HVAC, raffreddamento e gestione di progetti critici, con competenze di leadership e coordinamento tra discipline.

La posizione è basata a Milano, con opportunità di lavorare in un team internazionale, sviluppo professionale e crescita di carriera all’interno della società.

Competenze

• Titolo di laurea in Ingegneria Meccanica o equivalente.
• Esperienza significativa nella progettazione di impianti meccanici/building services.
• Conoscenza di HVAC, acqua fredda, raffreddamento e ventilazione.
• Capacità di guidare team multidisciplinari e gestire stakeholder.
• Esperienza in data centre/progetti mission-critical è preferenziale.
• Ottime capacità comunicative e leadership tecnica.

Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer looking to take a leading role in the design of some of the world's most advanced data centre facilities?

At Black & White Engineering, you'll join a team at the forefront of mission-critical infrastructure design, delivering hyperscale and colocation data centres for leading global technology clients. Based in Milan, you'll play a key role in shaping resilient, efficient and sustainable mechanical systems that support the critical environments powering today's digital economy.

As a Senior or Principal Mechanical Engineer, you'll provide technical leadership across complex projects, influencing design decisions from concept through to delivery. Working alongside multidisciplinary teams, you'll help deliver innovative cooling, ventilation and thermal management solutions that support the operational demands of modern data centres.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead the design and delivery of mechanical building services systems for mission-critical projects.
• Develop and review technical calculations, specifications and engineering reports.
• Design HVAC, cooling, ventilation and water-based systems for hyperscale and colocation data centres.
• Coordinate with electrical, structural and architectural disciplines to deliver integrated solutions.
• Attend client meetings and provide technical guidance throughout project lifecycles.
• Mentor junior engineers and support technical development across the team.
• Drive innovation and engineering excellence while ensuring compliance with relevant standards and best practices.

Essential Skills

• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Significant experience delivering mechanical building services design projects.
• Strong understanding of HVAC, chilled water, cooling and ventilation systems.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary design teams and managing stakeholder relationships.
• Data centre or mission-critical project experience is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and technical leadership skills.
