Radica | The Root of Change in Milan seeks a Senior/Lead Mechanical Engineer for Data Centre & Mission Critical Projects with 3 days on-site per week. You will shape technically advanced, energy-efficient facilities and lead the mechanical design across complex projects.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, mentor engineers, and drive delivery from concept through commissioning while upholding sustainability and performance goals.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Building Services, or Energy Engineering.
• Chartered engineer or working towards chartership.
• Extensive experience in mechanical building services engineering.
• Proven experience on Data Centre, Mission Critical, or Industrial Building projects.
• Strong technical understanding of HVAC and mechanical building systems design.
• Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary engineering projects.
• Ability to manage projects from conceptual design through to construction and commissioning.
• Experience working in BIM/Revit environments; knowledge of parametric design tools would be advantageous.
• Strong understanding of sustainable building design principles and energy-efficient systems.
• Fluent written and spoken Italian and English.

Mansioni

• Lead the mechanical engineering design and technical delivery of mission-critical and multidisciplinary building projects
• Manage projects through all stages including feasibility studies, concept design, detailed design, tender support, and construction phase services
• Act as the lead mechanical engineering contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders
• Develop and oversee the design of complex mechanical building systems including HVAC, chilled water and cooling systems, ventilation and smoke control, heating, hydronic and pipework systems
• Coordinate with electrical, structural, architectural, and BIM teams for integrated project delivery
• Lead technical reviews, design coordination meetings, and engineering workshops
• Support the delivery of low-carbon and sustainable engineering strategies across projects
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior and intermediate engineers

• Assist in identifying innovative technologies and engineering approaches to improve project performance and efficiency

Key Responsibilities:
