Renesas Electronics seeks a Senior Staff Application Engineer in the Power Computing Business Unit to define next-generation power delivery architectures for AI and high-performance computing platforms.

You will lead technology pathfinding, topology studies and proof-of-concept development for high-performance DC/DC converters, and develop detailed models to translate system requirements into silicon product definitions.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in power conversion, power management, semiconductor applications or related system design.
Strong experience in design, modeling, development and laboratory validation of high-performance power converters.
Deep understanding of control-loop design, stability analysis, transient response and implementation constraints.
Solid knowledge of resonant and non-resonant power conversion topologies and topology trade-offs.

Responsabilités

Define and evaluate next-generation power conversion architectures for AI and HPC platforms.
Lead topology studies and proof-of-concept development for high-performance DC/DC converters.
Develop detailed electrical and system-level models using SIMPLIS and other tools.
Translate system requirements into device specifications for new silicon products.
Plan and execute converter characterization with data analysis and bench measurements.
Drive tuning and improvement of converter performance through development lifecycle.
Develop automated measurement setups to improve speed and data quality.
Guide schematic and PCB implementation with focus on power-stage layout and SI.
Customize solutions to address customer requirements and engage stakeholders.
Provide technical leadership across disciplines and communicate findings clearly.
