ABB E-mobility is seeking a Senior Test Automation Engineer to lead automated test strategy for PCB assemblies across EV charging products. You will design FCT/ICT workflows, validate firmware interfaces, and collaborate with hardware, firmware, and manufacturing teams to ensure high yield and traceability from prototype to mass production.

Competenze

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or related.
Significant experience in PCBA manufacturing test engineering or board-level validation, ideally in EV charging, automotive or power electronics.
Proven expertise developing automated PCBA Functional Circuit Test (FCT) solutions with firmware interaction, interfaces, I/O verification, calibration, and sensor validation.
Strong ICT knowledge including flying-probe testing, bed-of-nails fixtures, test-point strategy, opens/shorts detection, and fixture diagnostics.
Experience with embedded systems testing: firmware flashing, serial, CAN, Ethernet, USB, JTAG, boot verification, and debugging.
Advanced programming and test-automation skills using Python, C#, LabVIEW, TestStand; capable of producing robust production-ready tests.
Hands-on lab and manufacturing-test instrumentation experience: oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters, electronic loads, protocol analyzers.
Experience specifying and integrating production test systems, fixtures, data acquisition, remote monitoring, and automated control for high-volume manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of Git, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, defect tracking, version control, test traceability; fluent English.

Design, develop, and deploy automated Functional Circuit Test (FCT) solutions for PCB assemblies and firmware readiness.
Define and implement ICT strategies to detect defects before functional validation.
Develop embedded-system test automation covering firmware programming, boot verification, and protocol validation.
Create validation methods for analog/mixed-signal boards including calibration, measurement uncertainty, and noise-sensitive tests.
Drive Design-for-Testability with test-point accessibility and fixture compatibility in collaboration with design teams.
Build end-to-end traceability from requirements to manufacturing quality metrics and release gates.
Specify production-test infrastructure including fixtures, power supplies, instruments, and automation-ready architectures.
Analyze ICT/FCT failures to distinguish root causes and drive corrective actions for higher first-pass yield.
Manage test-software releases and traceability using Azure DevOps and Git, supporting CI/CD and controlled deployments.
