Deel leads immigration operations processes and drives automation across multi-regional teams. You will own end-to-end process improvements, implement AI-powered initiatives, and collaborate with product, legal, and finance to ensure efficient, compliant workflows that scale globally.

As part of a fast-paced, regulated tech environment, you’ll optimize case management, drive efficiency, and mentor operations specialists while delivering measurable improvements across time and cost metrics.

  • 5+ years in operations, process management within fast-paced, regulated tech environments.
  • AI & automation experience in driving improvements.
  • Strong project management skills across multiple initiatives.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with Product, Legal, Finance.

Summary

Lead process improvement and operational excellence initiatives across immigration operations. You'll own process automation, cross-functional project delivery, and efficiency gains across a high-volume, multi-regional operations function. This role reports to [Director/Head of Immigration Operations] and partners directly with product, legal, and regional ops teams.

Responsibilities
  • Drive operational efficiency: Identify, scope, and execute process improvements across immigration case management, invoicing, case assignment, and team workflows
  • Lead automation & AI initiatives: Assess processes for automation opportunities, work with product/engineering to implement solutions, and measure impact on processing times and team capacity
  • Manage cross-functional projects: Coordinate with product, legal, finance, and regional teams to deliver operational improvements on time and to spec
  • Execute root cause analysis: Diagnose process bottlenecks and inefficiencies; develop data-backed solutions and implementation plans
  • Maintain operational documentation: Own SOPs, process guides, and intake forms; ensure they reflect current workflows and regulatory requirements
  • Support team execution: Provide guidance to operations specialists on projects, process changes, and continuous improvement
  • Monitor and optimize metrics: Track process performance; identify and act on degradation trends or improvement opportunities
Qualifications (Required)
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in operations, process management, or business operations within fast-paced, regulated tech environments (e.g., Fintech).
  • AI & Automation: Proven track record of driving process improvement initiatives, automation projects, or AI-assisted workflows.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives concurrently.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Demonstrated experience working closely across teams, including Product, Legal, Finance, and Technical departments.
  • Data-Driven: Comfortable analyzing metrics and using Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Looker, Metabase, SQL or similar).
  • Communication: Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills (both written and spoken).
  • Language: Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Adaptability & Precision: Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to quickly master new regulatory and compliance landscapes.
Nice to Have
  • Experience in immigration, global mobility, or international HR operations
  • Knowledge of visa categories, compliance workflows, or right-to-work processes
  • Familiarity with case management systems, Zendesk, or similar platforms
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations, Engineering or related field
