Deel is seeking a DevOps Engineer to bridge development and IT operations across our global platform. You will collaborate with Development, IT, and Product teams to improve deployment processes, automate manual tasks, and ensure scalable, secure, and high-performing systems for Deel’s customers.

The role emphasizes building reliable pipelines, managing AWS-based production, and implementing IaC, monitoring, and incident response.

Competenze

• 5+ years of DevOps experience in production environments.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• CI/CD tools experience (Drone, Jenkins, GitHub Actions or similar).
• Strong IT background and understanding of AWS services (EKS, Postgres, S3, Mongo, SES, SNS, SQS).
• Automated deployment and infrastructure experience.
• Knowledge of alerting and monitoring tools.
• NodeJS is a plus.

Summary

The DevOps Engineer plays a critical role in bridging the gap between software development and IT operations, ensuring seamless integration and continuous delivery of Deel’s applications and infrastructure. You will work closely with Development, IT, and Product teams to improve deployment processes, automate manual tasks, and ensure that Deel’s systems are scalable, secure, and high-performing. By improving infrastructure, reducing downtime, and speeding up the release of new features, your work will directly impact Deel’s ability to innovate and maintain high-quality services for its global customers.

Responsibilities

• Work with the latest AWS technologies like Kubernetes (EKS), S3, Postgres, DocumentDB, and more.
• Manage our AWS production deployments (SaaS) running on AWS EKS.
• Design and develop tools for managing and applying DevOps principles, such as CI/CD automation and IaC (Infrastructure as Code) on our Cloud-based production systems.
• Work with the team to enhance production stability, availability, and reliability.
• Install, configure, update and troubleshoot our product microservices and tools including databases
• Design and manage different monitoring and observability tools for troubleshooting and resolving production issues.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant DevOps work experience in Production environments
• Strong working experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Drone, Jenkins, GitHub actions or similar)
• Strong IT background.
• A deep understanding and familiarity with:
• Networking: K8S ingress, services, and Load Balancers
• AWS services, EKS, Postgres, S3, Mongo, SES, SNS, SQS.
• Experience in automated deployment and infrastructure.
• Knowledge and experience with alerting and monitoring tools.
• Additional programming languages like NodeJS - An advantage
• Results-driven with strong commitment to complete tasks

• Our salary range reflects gross base salary. For commercial roles with commission eligibility, this figure represents On-Target Earnings (OTE), inclusive of base salary and target commission.
• Salary ranges are quoted in USD as a consistent global reference. Your offer will be localized to your country's currency using a market-aligned conversion.
• Final pay is based on objective, job-related criteria including experience, skills, and location.
