Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Senior .NET Developer (Fintech) based in Italy to lead backend development for payment processing and financial operations in a fully remote, international team.

You will design scalable microservices, build robust integrations, and ensure secure, high-performance software with AI-assisted development workflows. Ownership, clear documentation, and strong collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial software development with C# and ASP.NET Core.
• Designing and developing microservices architectures.
• Hands-on experience with Azure, Docker, AKS.
• Experience with SQL Server, MongoDB, Cosmos DB.
• Experience using AI-powered development tools or agents.
• Ability to validate and explain code, including AI-generated code.
• Commitment to clean, maintainable code and automated testing.
• Strong ownership and reliable collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services for payment processing and back-office operations.
• Design resilient integrations and asynchronous workflows (idempotency, outbox/inbox, sagas, retries).
• Build microservices with performance and reliability targets (latency, SLA/SLO).
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and operational practices.
• Leverage AI-powered development tools throughout delivery and review AI-generated code.
• Write clean code and automated tests; participate in code reviews and maintain specs.
• Take ownership of deliverables and proactively address defects.
