Job summary

Beyond Talent, in partnership with a prestigious luxury fashion brand in Italy, seeks a Senior Menswear Designer to elevate Men’s Ready-to-Wear, with emphasis on woven tailoring, outerwear, shirting and trousers. You will translate the brand vision into commercially compelling designs under the Design Director.

The ideal candidate brings proven senior level experience in luxury menswear, strong technical knowledge of fabrics and construction, and the ability to lead from concept through fittings

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Menswear Designer in luxury fashion houses.
• Strong expertise across woven menswear, especially tailoring, outerwear, shirting and trousers.
• Knits experience is advantageous and welcome across Ready-to-Wear.
• Excellent knowledge of fabrics, construction and garment development.
• Ability to balance creativity with commercial awareness and lead with a Design Director.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Men's Ready-to-Wear collections with expertise in woven categories including tailoring, outerwear, shirting and trousers.
• Collaborate with the Design Director to translate the brand vision into distinctive, commercially relevant collections.
• Contribute to knitwear development where relevant for cohesive Ready-to-Wear direction.
• Lead the creative process from research and concept through fittings and final collection development.
• Demonstrate sophisticated understanding of fabrics, construction and luxury craftsmanship.
• Collaborate with product development, merchandising and technical teams to ensure design excellence and commercial relevance.
• Monitor market trends while maintaining the brand’s identity.

Beyond Talent is partnering with a prestigious luxury fashion brand to appoint an experienced Senior Menswear Designer to join its creative team in Italy.

Reporting directly to the Design Director, the successful candidate will play a key role in developing and elevating the Men's Ready-to-Wear collections, with a strong focus on woven categories, including tailoring, outerwear, trousers and shirting.

We are looking for a creative and technically accomplished designer with a strong understanding of luxury menswear, ideally complemented by experience in knitwear to contribute to the development of the full Ready-to-Wear collection.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop Men's Ready-to-Wear collections, with particular expertise in woven categories, including tailoring, outerwear, shirting and trousers.
• Work closely with the Design Director to translate the brand's creative vision into distinctive, commercially relevant collections.
• Contribute to the development of knitwear collections where relevant, ensuring a cohesive design direction across all product categories.
• Lead the creative process from initial research, concept and fabric selection through to fittings, prototypes and final collection development.
• Demonstrate a sophisticated understanding of fabrics, construction, silhouettes and luxury craftsmanship.
• Collaborate closely with product development, merchandising and technical teams to ensure design excellence, quality and commercial relevance.
• Monitor market trends and evolving customer expectations while maintaining the brand's distinctive identity.

The Ideal Profile

• Proven experience as a Senior Menswear Designer within an established luxury fashion house.
• Strong and demonstrable expertise across woven menswear categories, particularly tailoring, outerwear, shirting and trousers.
• Previous exposure to knitwear design would be highly advantageous, ideally with the ability to contribute across the full Men's Ready-to-Wear spectrum.
• Exceptional creative sensibility, combined with strong technical knowledge of fabrics, construction and garment development.
• Ability to balance creativity, product innovation and commercial awareness.
• Experience working closely with a Design Director or senior creative leadership.
• Strong communication, collaboration and organisational skills.
• Fluent English required; Italian is an advantage.
