ZAPI GROUP in Italy is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical and electromagnetic design of AC, PM, and DC motors for industrial and mobility applications. You will work across lifecycle stages from concept to validation, collaborating with Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and global technical teams to deliver reliable, cost-effective motor solutions.

The role requires 5–10 years of experience, strong Autodesk Inventor skills, FEM knowledge, and fluent English; on-site

Competenze

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Industrial/Management Engineering.
• Final degree grade of 105/110 or above preferred.
• Postgraduate specialization in electric motors or electrification advantageous.
• 5–10 years of experience in design and development of electric motors or comparable electromechanical products.

Mansioni

• Design and develop mechanical and electromagnetic components, assemblies, and complete electric motor systems.
• Define innovative mechanical and electromagnetic architectures for new product platforms.
• Design and develop key mechanical and electromechanical components for electric motor platforms.
• Optimize product designs for machining, casting, die casting, forming, extrusion, plastics processing, and additive manufacturing.
• Create and maintain CAD models, technical documentation and engineering analyses.
• Manage engineering changes and maintain product documentation.
• Define validation plans and analyze test results.
• Lead industrialization activities applying DFM/DFA principles.
• Drive product optimization, cost reduction and issue resolution.
• Lead technical activities and mentor junior engineers.
