Blackedge Consulting seeks a Senior/Lead Mechanical Engineer for data centre and mission-critical projects in Milan, with 3 days per week onsite. You will lead design delivery, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and drive sustainable solutions for high-profile facilities across Europe.

The role requires chartership progress, fluency in Italian and English, and a track record in mechanical building services and data centre projects.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Building Services, or Energy Engineering.
• Chartered engineer or working towards chartership.
• Extensive experience in mechanical building services engineering.
• Proven experience on Data Centre, Mission Critical, or Industrial projects.
• Fluent Italian and English speaking/writing.

Mansioni

• Lead the mechanical engineering design and technical delivery of mission-critical and multidisciplinary building projects.
• Manage projects through feasibility, concept, detailed design, tender, and construction stages.
• Act as the lead mechanical engineering contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Develop and oversee the design of HVAC, chilled water, ventilation, heating, and hydronic systems.
• Coordinate closely with electrical, structural, architectural, and BIM teams for integrated delivery.
• Lead technical reviews, design coordination, and engineering workshops.
• Support low-carbon and sustainable engineering strategies across projects.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers; contribute to planning and QA processes.
• Ensure compliance with standards and client specifications; identify innovative tech.
