Job summary

HCL Technologies Limited is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer for on-site IT service delivery in Verona, Italy. The role covers OS, storage, servers, and managed desktop services with a focus on incident handling, service management, and compliance tasks.

You will collaborate with infrastructure operations and service owners, drive continuous improvement, and occasionally contribute to development projects.

Qualifications

• Education – Minimum Qualification: B.Eng. in information technology or master degree.
• 6+ years’ IT experience with hands-on Data Centre exposure.
• Solid technical understanding across servers, storage, OS, clustering, SAP, databases or middleware.
• IT service delivery skills, ITIL knowledge, and incident/down-time management ability.
• Independent worker with minimal day-to-day guidance; travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily IT support operations on site.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure and engineering teams to maintain SLAs, security and compliance.
• Manage service operations for local and legacy services with Service Owners.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of service and support activities.
• Participate in IT Compliance development within own area (Senior Engineer).
• Participate in Infra development within own area of expertise (Senior Engineer).
• Coordinate local users and handle escalations within own area.
• Support Duty Ring at sites within two hours from home base, where applicable.
