Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Mechanical Field Service Engineer to lead on-site installation and maintenance of heavy duty aero gas turbine systems. You will troubleshoot and optimize turbine performance at customer sites, coordinating with multisite teams and ensuring safety and compliance.

Strong communication of technical details to customers and colleagues is essential. The role requires a Technical Diploma, willingness to travel up to 70%, and prior mechanical experience in energy/oil and gas

Qualifications

• Technical Diploma required.
• Be ready to travel up to 70%, including offshore facilities.
• Experience in a mechanical role in energy/oil and gas (or similar).
• Excellent command of English and Italian; EU passport required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction for site activities to internal teams and skilled labor to ensure safety, compliance and quality.
• Oversee, overhaul, troubleshoot and commission gas turbine products at customer sites.
• Prepare and update technical documentation, plans, and briefing reports for customers and cross-functional teams.
• Ensure internal training, compliance and quality documentation is kept up to date according to company standards.
