Geowynd, part of the Ocean Infinity group, seeks a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to support geotechnical data interpretation and design for offshore wind foundations. Based in Southampton or Italy, you will work within our geoconsulting team across feasibility, site investigation, detailed design and operations phases.

You will lead laboratory schedules, develop innovative methods, and coordinate with geologists, geophysicists and client teams to optimise foundation designs.

Formación

• PhD or Master's degree in geotechnical engineering or similar discipline.
• Excellent understanding of soil mechanics.
• Demonstrable experience with geotechnical interpretation, analysis and design.
• Innovative and creative approach to problem solving.
• Proven ability to perform in a delivery-focused environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and independently.

Responsabilidades

• Draft robust geotechnical interpretive reports with sound parameter selection for foundation design and cable route analysis.
• Develop forward-thinking geotechnical innovations for state-of-the-art analysis and design methods.
• Support offshore geotechnical campaigns as part of an onshore team with multi-vessel solutions.
• Lead laboratory test schedules and specifications for geotechnical testing under representative conditions.
• Perform advanced geotechnical design analysis for fixed-bottom and floating foundations for offshore wind turbines.
• Lead foundation installation evaluations with a principal engineer.
• Collaborate with geologists, geophysicists, seismic processors and project teams to optimise site investigations and designs.
• Represent Geowynd at conferences and contribute to industry publications.
