Job summary

Confidential (offshore energy storage technology developer) in Milan seeks an experienced naval engineer to design floating structures and mooring systems for a patented technology. You will run hydrodynamic analyses, plan basin and sea tests, and support prototype build and installation, with a 12-month extendable contract starting ASAP.

Requirements include MSc in naval/offshore engineering, 4–8 years in offshore structures or moorings, and proficiency with OrcaFlex/AQWA/Diodore, Ansys or

• 4–8 years in offshore structures or moorings.
• OrcaFlex, AQWA or Diodore; Ansys or Sesam FEM.
• DNV, API and ISO offshore standards.
• Eligible to work in the EU; fluent English.

Client: Confidential - offshore energy storage technology developer

Location: Milan, Italy - office at client site, with travel

Contract: 12 months, extendable, start as soon as possible

The opportunity

Join the offshore engineering team of an innovative developer of long-duration offshore energy storage in Milan.

You will design and validate the floating structures and mooring systems of a patented technology, from prototype to commercial units, working with universities, test basins, suppliers and classification societies.
