Orbem seeks a Senior Field Service Engineer to act as the senior technical authority in the field, owning end-to-end resolution of complex incidents at customer sites and in labs. You will mentor junior engineers and help build maintenance playbooks while guiding installations when needed.

Travel up to 70% across the EU is expected; a European driver's license is required. Fluency in English and Italian is essential to support our growing Italian customer base.

Competenze

• Hands-on experience diagnosing and resolving complex electrical, mechanical, or automation issues in field-service environments.
• Strong knowledge of electrical diagrams, AutoCAD, and automation/networking concepts (PLC, Modbus).
• Ability to act as final escalation point for urgent issues and train junior engineers.

Mansioni

• Own end-to-end diagnosis and resolution of complex service incidents at customer sites and labs.
• Serve as primary escalation point for difficult repairs and supplier/partner coordination on-site.
• Tailor maintenance approaches to local site conditions; document deviations from standard procedures.
• Create and improve maintenance SOPs and checklists; drive PDCA cycle for servicing.
• Mentor junior engineers on troubleshooting practices and technical judgment.
• Lead Site Visit Checklists and problem solving during installation and upgrades as senior surge capacity.
• Provide technical feedback to Engineering; escalate risks and propose solutions.
