Wolfspeed Italy is seeking a talented Field Applications Engineer to support SiC power device opportunities from design to production. You will work with customers to assess suitability, demonstrate system-level benefits, and guide designs through prototypes and full production, including debugging.

You will travel frequently to customer sites, collaborate with engineering and marketing, and help train distributors. Fluent English and MSc in Electrical Engineering are required.

Competenze

• Master of Science in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with 3–5 years as power semiconductor FAE or similar.
• Strong technical communication with system- and component-level interaction.
• Solid knowledge of power electronics topologies (hard/soft switching).
• Experience in circuit design, layout, loss calculation, and magnetic design.
• Willingness to travel frequently for on-site support.

Mansioni

• Partner with Sales Account Managers to secure design wins and drive revenue growth.
• Qualify customer opportunities and assess the suitability of SiC power devices for applications.
• Provide pre-sales technical support to demonstrate system-level benefits and communicate the value of SiC solutions.
• Support customers throughout the design cycle—from samples to pilot, pre-production, and full production—including hardware debug and system-level guidance.
• Use Munich Lab to identify best practices for SiC component usage and generate new technical knowledge.
• Deliver customer feedback and application insights to Marketing to support new product development.
• Leverage our Munich Lab to identify best practices for SiC component usage and generate new technical knowledge.
• Maintain effective communication with business unit teams to address customer technical requests.
