Job summary

Topcon Positioning Group is looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Field Survey Applications (C++). You will develop field software for Windows/Linux/Android/iOS to support Topcon and third‑party equipment including GNSS receivers and robotic total stations, using Qt/QML/C++.

Responsibilities include planning, design, and delivery, plus maintaining and enhancing cross‑platform systems, with opportunities to influence software processes and architecture. Remote/hybrid options available.

Qualifications

• Degree in Geodesy, Geoinformatics, Computer Science, Engineering, Electronics, or related field
• Overall software development experience of at least 3 years
• Experience with Windows development is needed
• Knowledge of Qt and QML is a plus
• Experience with Linux/Android/iOS development is a plus
• Experience with Geodesy, Geodetic coordinate systems, Geoid, vertical datum, GNSS is a plus

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage delivery schedules with project manager and team
• Serve as single point of contact for module development and delivery
• Evaluate and schedule changes in module design and delivery
• Maintain and modify existing systems through programming, testing, and documenting
• Implement support for Topcon hardware in Geomatics Field Survey software across platforms
• Support mature software written in MFC
• Implement surveying routines
• Follow and implement software processes
• Provide technical directions to others
• Analyze and resolve technical and application problems
