Ephos is seeking a Senior Facility Engineer to oversee cleanroom and facility maintenance in a 24/7 fab environment. The role focuses on installing, maintaining, and scaling DI water, chemical, and gas supplies, while ensuring cleanroom conditions and supporting both production and R&D.

The successful candidate will drive process improvements and KPI tracking. We value hands-on engineers with 5+ years in facility operations, strong troubleshooting, and experience in cleanroom equipment control.

Competenze

• Five or more years in facility operations, ideally including cleanroom equipment control management.
• Experience in equipment maintenance with strong troubleshooting skills.
• Experience in 5S and Lean Manufacturing, with good communication skills.
• Equivalent hands-on experience running a cleanroom facility and its ancillary equipment will be considered.

Ephos is building vertically integrated, advanced packaging solutions on glass panels. We transform raw glass into electronic and optically active substrates for die-to-die connectivity, manufactured entirely within our own facilities. The role

We are seeking a Senior Facility Engineer, focusing on the upkeep and maintenance of the cleanroom and supporting facility. In this role, your primary focus will be installing, maintaining, optimizing and scaling our DI water, chemical and gas supplies, and maintaining cleanroom conditions in the fab. You will support both production and R&D needs in this new facility, which will operate 24/7.

Your responsibilities

• Establish the engineering and maintenance business processes needed to run facility equipment in production, and document them to quality standards, for cleanroom support facility such as cooling water, DI water, and bulk and specialty gas supplies.
• Track, maintain and improve the delivery performance of the associated facility supplies, using SPC and proven statistical methods to ensure high-performance supply to the fab.
• Apply structured problem solving and root cause analysis to resolve issues and put permanent corrective actions in place.
• Strong focus on keeping timelines and cost/budget control.
• Ensure close interaction with facility equipment suppliers, including owning the escalation of issues and calling in specialists where needed (travel, service changes).
• Set up facility equipment performance KPIs, and monitor and adjust them against fab goals.

The candidate we are looking for

• BSc or MSc in Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering preferred. Equivalent hands‑on experience running a cleanroom facility and its ancillary equipment will also be considered.
• Five or more years in facility operations, ideally including cleanroom facility equipment control management.
• Experience in equipment maintenance, with strong troubleshooting skills.
• Experience in 5S and Lean Manufacturing, with good communication skills.
• Experience in semiconductor fabs is an advantage.
• Can commit to full time lab presence; due to the nature of the role we will not consider remote applicants.
