Job summary

Amazon Inc. seeks a Senior Environmental Compliance Manager to lead multi-site environmental compliance across Italy, reporting to the SEU Environmental Leader. You will partner with operations and the EU team to implement regulations, drive continuous improvement, and manage risk with KPI frameworks.

This role requires travel up to 50% across Italy and the EU. You will mentor teams, collaborate with Legal, and ensure reporting, permits, and policy alignment with local and EU requirements.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Italian and English at C1 level or above.
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering, or related field, or EQF-equivalent.
• In-depth knowledge of EU environmental regulations including country- and local-level rules.
• Experience managing environmental compliance across multiple sites within the EU.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage and implement multi-site environmental compliance across Italy (air emissions, water, waste, energy) and reporting.
• Develop KPI and compliance metrics to monitor performance and regulatory posture.
• Communicate strategy and risks to Director- and VP-level audiences across Operations, Legal, Finance, and Technology.
• Lead cross-functional risk mitigation and remediation planning to bring risk within tolerance.
