Job summary

Amazon Data Services Italy S.R.L. is seeking a Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) engineering professional to deploy, operate, and maintain data center facilities.

You will manage diesel generators, switchgear, UPS, PDU, AHU, fire detection systems, and building automation while reporting to the Facilities Manager. The role requires proactive problem solving, hands-on maintenance, and collaboration with internal teams to ensure safety, reliability, and efficiency in AWS data centers.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with critical facility operations.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, fire protection and control systems.
• Familiarity with RAMS and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety initiatives and maintain world-class safety culture.
• Operate, monitor and maintain electrical, mechanical, fire protection and control systems.
• Draft, review and publish SOPs, EOPs and MOPs for in-house activities.
• Review vendor documentation for preventative maintenance and RAMS.
• Perform routine inspections and testing of fire alarm/detection/suppression systems.
• Troubleshoot electro-mechanical issues and coordinate with engineering teams.
• Record operational readings and maintain equipment performance logs.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on critical infrastructure.
• Plan and execute maintenance work and coordinate with Facility Manager.
