Job summary

Jobgether is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to build and scale the backend infrastructure powering AI‑driven developer tools. You will own production services, MCP integrations, and authentication systems while ensuring reliability, security and observability in a distributed environment.

You will work with platform, security, and infra teams to improve architecture, deployment processes, and incident response.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building and operating production backend services.
• Strong programming skills in TypeScript or Go with working knowledge of the other language.
• Experience designing and maintaining APIs with versioning, error handling, rate limiting, and backward compatibility.
• Deep understanding of OAuth, OIDC, JWT, and API authorization.
• Good knowledge of PostgreSQL and relational databases.
• Experience with CI/CD, Docker, containerized deployments, and IaC.
• Ability to troubleshoot distributed systems via metrics, logs, and traces.
• Strong communication and collaboration across globally distributed teams.
• Ability to own production operations and navigate ambiguity in fast-paced environments.
• Deep expertise in APIs/auth, Production Ops, or Gateways/Distributed Systems.

Responsibilities

• Build, deploy, operate, and scale production backend services for AI-powered tools.
• Own service architecture and infrastructure decisions to improve reliability and scalability.
• Define and monitor SLOs, error budgets, and incident response with on-call rotation.
• Design authentication systems for AI agents and machine clients including OAuth workflows.
• Establish observability through metrics, tracing, logging, dashboards, and alerts.
• Manage AI agent traffic with rate limits, capacity controls, and fault handling.
• Collaborate with Platform, SRE, Authentication, Billing, and Edge Functions teams.
• Contribute to AI tooling infrastructure prioritizing security and performance.
