Lever, Inc. seeks an AI Harness Engineer based in Italy to build systems connecting people with local AI capabilities. You’ll develop reusable tools, implement agent loops, and create scalable peer-to-peer AI infrastructure in a fully remote setup.

You will design evaluation frameworks, work across model types, and contribute to open-source P2P AI tooling while collaborating with a global engineering team in a highly experimental environment.

Competenze

• 5+ years of experience building and maintaining production software.
• Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript with complex state modeling.
• Hands-on experience building AI agent harnesses and tool calling.
• Experience with non-deterministic AI and testing infra.
• Experience creating reusable npm modules.
• Strong testing and debugging skills.
• Understanding of AI tools and peer-to-peer tech.
• Open-source contributions valued.
• Strong remote collaboration skills.
• Experimental, hands-on mindset.
