Job summary

Kanadevia Inova, a global leader in waste-to-X technology, is seeking an experienced Italian Accounting Lead to manage the accounting activities of the Italian entity within a Shared Service Center framework.

You will ensure compliance with Italian GAAP, IFRS, and tax regulations, oversee monthly, quarterly and annual closings, and maintain strong internal controls while supporting cross-border VAT reporting and Intrastat where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 10+ years of accounting experience, preferably within an international or multinational organization using a Shared Service Center model.
• Strong knowledge of Italian accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory reporting requirements.
• Practical experience with Italian VAT compliance, including international VAT reporting and cross-border transactions.
• Fluent in Italian and English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting activities for the Italian entity by the Shared Service Center.
• Ensure compliance with Italian GAAP, IFRS, tax regulations and corporate policies.
• Review and approve monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities.
• Ensure effective internal controls and support Model 231 compliance and process improvements.
• Supervise VAT reporting, tax submissions, and cross-border compliance including Intrastat.
• Communicate with customers and suppliers regarding invoicing, payment status, and account reconciliations.
